'Call of Duty: Black Ops 7' Levels Up Accessibility With Voice, Motion Controls for Disabled Players

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 7" has introduced new accessibility-focused controller features aimed at supporting disabled gamers. The update shows some love and inclusivity to the community by enabling more flexible input methods across multiple game modes.

Developers Treyarch and Raven Software announced a collaboration with Cephable, bringing advanced alternative control systems into the game.

Cephable Integration Enables Voice and Motion Controls

Through Cephable, players can interact with "Call of Duty: Black Ops 7" using voice commands, facial expressions, head movement, and other customized inputs. The tool is available via desktop and mobile apps, allowing users to create personalized control schemes tailored to their needs.

These features are supported across Firing Range, Campaign Zombies, and Dead Ops Arcade modes. While the system replicates traditional controller and keyboard inputs, slight latency may occur due to external processing.

Simple Setup and Custom Control Mapping

Setting up Cephable is designed to be straightforward. According to GameSpot, players can download the app, link their account, and map inputs based on their preferences, making gameplay more accessible without sacrificing flexibility.

Despite being a third-party solution, developers confirmed compatibility with the RICOCHET Anti-Cheat team.

Members of the disabled gaming community also participated in testing to ensure fairness, usability, and reliability.

Season 3 Expands Content and Features

Season 3 of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 7" launched on April 2, bringing new weapons, additional maps, anti-cheat improvements, and an updated Verdansk location.

It's impressive that the franchise not only cares to improve every game patch but also continues to expand its accessibility efforts. Offering more inclusive ways to play while evolving its overall gameplay experience is an effective way to improve player retention in the long run.
