Call it Canadian chaos as field conditions turn Packers-Raiders into 80-yard fiasco

The idea seemed okay. However, playing a preseason game in Canada has gone awry.

The Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers played Thursday in Winnipeg. Someone forgot to factor in the goalposts would have to be moved from where the Blue Bombers play with them in their CFL contests.

When said goalposts were moved, conditions around them were, um, unplayable.

Word out of Winnipeg is the #Packers are mulling holding their starters out of tonight’s game vs. the #Raiders with field conditions in question. Again, Oakland was planning to sit key players. Stay tuned.

NFL (2/2): "Concerns arose today surrounding the area where the Blue Bombers' goal posts were previously located. The 10-yard line will function as the goal line in this game. In lieu of kickoffs, the ball will be placed at the 15-yard line."#Raiders #Packers

The game has had issues for weeks as Canadian fans took offense to the prices set up for the preseason contest.
