'Call him back!' - Spurs fans fume at Jack Clark's lack of game time at Leeds United

There is a full schedule of midweek Championship action taking place this week.

Spurs fans were hoping to follow the progress of summer arrival Jack Clarke, as his loan club Leeds United take on Brentford.

Clarke signed from Leeds during the summer transfer window for a fee believed to be in the region on £13m, part of the deal saw the 18-year-old return to his former club on a season long loan deal.

It was hoped that the deal would see the teenager get more game time in the Championship than he would have done should he have stayed with his now parent club.

However, that has not been the case, with Clarke being an unused substitute twice and not making the match day squad for the past two games, including tonight's encounter with Brentford. The only minutes that the midfielder has played has been in the League Cup victory over Salford City.

Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa has a problem due to the amount of loan players at the club, with EFL rules claiming that only five loan players can be included in the squad. Leeds have six at the club, meaning that one has to miss out.

Clarke has been that player for the past two games, much to the annoyance of Spurs fans, many of whom have taken to social media to show their frustrations at the situation.

Clarke scored two goals and assisted a further two in 22 Championship appearances for the Whites last season.
