Podcast juggernaut Alex Cooper has opened up about the alleged sexual harassment she experienced at the hands of a soccer coach while playing for Boston University.
In the first part of her upcoming docuseries, Call Her Alex — which premiered last Sunday at the Tribeca Festival in New York City — Cooper alleged that she’d been sexually harassed by Nancy Feldman, a soccer coach at Boston University.
The Call Her Daddy host — who played for Boston University from 2013 to 2015 — claimed that Feldman began to “really started to fixate” on her more than any other teammate during her sophomore year (second year). However, Cooper claimed that the coach didn’t focus on her playing, but her personal life.
“[It] was all based in her wanting to know who I was dating, her making comments about my body and her always wanting to be alone with me,” Cooper said in Call Her Alex, per PEOPLE.
The podcast host also claimed that Feldman would put her hand on her thigh. According to Deadline, Cooper claimed that when she tried to resist Feldman’s alleged advances, she would threaten her with “consequences”, such as benching her during a key match.
“It was this psychotic game of, ‘You want to play, tell me about your sex life’,” she continued.
Per PEOPLE, the podcaster told her parents about Feldman’s alleged behaviour. However, the lawyers warned that the case could be drag on for years.
The publication adds that Boston University athletic officials allegedly did not take action when the alleged behaviour was brought to their attention, even when provided with written documentation of Feldman’s interactions with Cooper.
Boston University did not fire Feldma. However, she did end up retiring in 2022. Cooper stopped playing soccer in her senior year, but was able to keep her scholarship.

In a Q&A after the premiere, Cooper reflected on what it was like being aked to walk on the Boston University soccer field by Call Her Alex director Ry Russo-Young, stating that the experience made her feel “so small”.
“The minute I stepped back on the field, I felt so small. I felt just like I was 18 years old again. And I was in a situation with someone in a position of power who abused their power. And I felt like I wasn’t the Call Her Daddy girl. I wasn’t someone who had money and influence or whatever it be. I was just another woman who experienced harassment on a level that changed my life forever and took away the thing I loved the most,” Cooper shared with audience members, per Deadline.

When asked why she came forward with the allegations, Cooper said it was a step in her healing process, and that it was still an ongoing issue at the university.
“During the filming of this documentary, I found out that the harassment and abuse of power is still happening on the campus of Boston University, and I spoke to one of the victims, and hearing her story was horrific, and I knew in that moment, if I don’t speak about this. It’s going to continue happening,” Cooper claimed during the Q&A.
Cooper went on to claim that Boston University’s Director of Athletics Drew Marrochello “wouldn’t open the book” her parents handed him of the alleged interactions she had with Feldman.
“We can go through the list of everyone who just basically let me go and didn’t check on me, [my] mental health, nothing,” she added.
Furthermore, Cooper said she’s “not ashamed it took [her] ten years” to come forward about the allegations.
“But it makes me question a lot, and I think this documentary, as difficult as it was to explore, I actually think this is just the beginning,” she said.
“It’s really opened my eyes to how difficult the system is, and it’s so built against us as women.”
At the time of writing, Boston University nor Nancy Feldman have issued a statement in response to Cooper’s claims.
Call Her Alex is a two-part docuseries that explores Cooper’s life prior and during the explosion of her podcast Call Her Daddy. The series will be available on Disney+ for Australian audiences on June 10, 2025
