Call 999 if you see this man as police release new CCTV images of vulnerable missing pensioner

A fresh appeal has been launched to find a missing pensioner who disappeared at the start of the week. New CCTV images have been released showing David, with a plea for members of the public to dial 999 immediately if they see him.

David was last seen at 10.26am on Monday (July 3) walking along Manchester Street, Oldham, in the direction of the town centre. Greater Manchester Police has released its third appeal to find the 79-year-old this afternoon (Thursday).

David, whose surname has not been given by GMP, has Alzheimers and type-2 diabetes. He walks with a slight limp and is insulin-dependent, but officers do not believe he has his medication with him.

David is described as a white British man, 5ft 8ins tall and of medium-slim build. He has grey hair, which is mainly bald, and grey facial hair described as a goatee.

At the time he was last seen, David was wearing a beige baseball cap with large ‘NY’ logo on the front, and a black sleeveless body-warmer with buttons on the front and pockets on the front right-hand side. He also wore a long-sleeved black top under the body warmer, blue trousers and black trainers, and was carrying a dark blue backpack.

A GMP spokesperson added: "Police are increasingly concerned about him and want to make sure he is found safe and well. Anyone with information about David’s whereabouts is asked to call 999 immediately."
