A 22-year-old California man, Efrain Troncoso, was arrested on Saturday morning by Ventura Police following a series of violent incidents. Troncoso faces charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, and attempted vehicle theft.
The first reported incident occurred around 7 a.m. near Ash Street and Thompson Boulevard, where a victim was stabbed in the back by a man on a bicycle. Shortly after, a woman called 911 to report that she had been stabbed in the neck while walking on Chestnut Street. Minutes later, another man reported being struck in the head with a metal pipe and robbed.
Within a span of under 30 minutes and within five blocks of each other, four attacks took place. As police searched for the suspect, another victim reported being robbed at knifepoint, with the perpetrator taking his car keys.

Troncoso was apprehended by police inside a car he had broken into, attempting to start the vehicle with the stolen keys. Troncoso had a history of arrests in Moorpark, including recent charges of arson and resisting arrest for which he was released on November 12. He had also been previously arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
The swift response by law enforcement led to the arrest of the suspect, preventing further harm to the community. The victims are receiving medical attention, and the investigation into the incidents is ongoing.
