California fires: Pink’s husband Carey Hart tells people to shoot looters

Pink’s husband Carey Hart has vowed to shoot anyone attempting to take advantage of the California wildfires.

The fires are believed to have claimed the lives of 50 people since last week and have destroyed the homes of stars including Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus.

Hart urged homeowners to keep themselves protected as he shared a snap of a team of people armed with guns behind a sign reading: “Looters will be shot on site!”

Hart captioned the post: “It’s unfortunate that some people take advantage of others in a crisis.

“While the Malibu fires have been burning, some locals have been fighting off and defending their property against the fires.

“There have been sightings of looters breaking in to homes. Well, if you are a looter, think twice if you are heading back into Malibu. #DefendYourLand #2ndamendment.”

The post comes after a number of celebrities including Lady Gaga and Cyrus revealed they were forced to evacuate their Malibu homes on Friday, after fires spread along the California coast.

Gaga surprised evacuees with pizza, coffee and gift cards on Tuesday after visiting a shelter for those made homeless.

California wildfires: At least 42 killed in deadliest blaze

Documenting her "act of kindness" on Instagram she told fans: “I'm on my way now to a shelter in California to be with people who have evacuated their homes.

“It's one of my acts of kindness for today and I encourage you to do the same.”

She later shared a snap of herself carrying 11 boxes of pizza, with the caption: “Fresh hot pizza, coffee, and gift cards for the shelter.”
