Caledonian Sleeper to get stranded Flybe passengers and crew home

Overnight rail service Caledonian Sleeper is offering free travel for the next week to stranded Flybe passengers.

Customers with a valid Flybe booking will be able to book a seat on any Caledonian Sleeper route between London and Scotland, from 5-12 March.

Caledonian Sleeper will extend the same support to crew members who can present a valid Flybe ID. They should phone the Guest Service Centre on 0330 060 0500.

Ryan Flaherty, Serco’s managing director for Caledonian Sleeper, said : “The news about Flybe entering administration is extremely sad and we’re aware that many passengers and crew will be struggling to get home.

“Anyone affected who is looking to travel with us in the next week should phone our Guest Service Centre in the first instance, where one of our team can advise on availability in our Seated Coach and confirm your booking. We’d ask that people don’t arrive at the station without contacting our Guest Service Centre first as we can’t guarantee there will be space on a specific service.”

Caledonian Sleeper operates two routes between London and Scotland - the Lowlander between Glasgow or Edinburgh and London, while the Highlander route takes guests between Aberdeen, Fort William or Inverness and London.
