Caleb Plant has blamed Canelo Alvarez for the pair not being allowed to face off ahead of their undisputed title fight on Saturday night.
The duo squared off in a heated stare-down during their fight launch press conference, with the event ultimately getting physical and Alvarez receiving a cut in the scuffle.
And because of that, the pair won't be allowed to go head-to-head in their pre-fight activities ahead of Saturday night's historic super middleweight fight in Las Vegas.
Plant has claimed that it was Alvarez's fault, with the Mexican punching Plant during their altercation back in September in Los Angeles.
"They didn't want us to do a face-to-face," Plant said. "That was their call, not mine - I like a face-to-face."
The pair went back-and-forth at their final press conference yesterday, but were stopped from getting a head-to-head moment due to the previous incident.
And Plant has insisted that the media made more of the altercation than was actually there, saying that both men have been in worse scuffles during their careers.

“It wasn’t my intention to get under Canelo’s skin at the first press conference," he explained.
"I think the media makes more of it than we do, we’ve both been in worse scuffles than that When the bell rings, it’s completely different.
“I’m someone who likes to focus on what’s in front of me and until recently, Canelo wasn’t in my weight division, so I didn’t think much about fighting him.
"Once he came in the division, I knew that it would be a huge mega-fight and here we are."
Alvarez has insisted that his "emotions are under control", despite getting physical with his rival back in September after an insulting comment was made.
"I can remain calm, because this is what I do," he said of the issue.
“My emotions are under control. I’m excited for the fight of course. I’m excited to become undisputed champion and to make history, that’s what I want.

"Only five male fighters in the history of boxing have accomplished becoming undisputed champion, and I want to be the sixth. That’s the only thing on my mind.
“You’re going to want to tune-in to this fight. This fight is going to be history. You’re going to be witnessing something that you’re going to remember for a long time.”
Alvarez is favourite for the bout, with many believing that his record is considerably better than Plant's.
But the American has insisted that he has what it takes to cause an upset and become the first ever undisputed champion at the weight class.
“I have to get the job done by any means necessary," he added. "That’s what me and my team have done so far to get to this point.
"Whether it’s boxing or in life, I’ve gotten here by any means necessary, I had opportunities to bow out, and I haven’t.
"I just can’t wait for the bell to ring Saturday.
"The way I see this fight turning out is, Jimmy Lennon Jr. saying ‘the new undisputed and still undefeated’."
