Calderstones Beach is returning for the summer with funfair rides, water canoes and more

Liverpool’s favourite family-friendly urban beach is returning to Calderstones Park for its fifth year this summer.

Calderstones Beach will launch on Saturday July 13, with plenty of sand, decking and deck chairs to go around.

The urban beach is hugely popular each summer, featuring water canoes, bungee trampolines and many more funfair rides - and entry is completely free.

This year, visitors can also expect the return of the Runaway Train roller coaster and the much-loved Twister.

Calderstones Beach also offers Autism and Disability friendly sessions throughout the summer.

Claudia Pont, one of the organisers of Calderstones Beach, said: “We are a family business and have young children of our own so we do understand what families want and it’s nice to not have to pay for entry, the beach and entertainment”.

The beach launches with a huge opening party on July 13, with all rides completely free of charge from 11am - 2pm.

Calderstones Beach runs from July 13 to September 1, from 10:30am - 5pm daily.
