It has been another very successful year for Calderside Academy pupils in their recent SQA Examinations.
At all levels the young people at the Blantyre-based secondary school performed very well, with S6 in particular showing improvement this year.
In S4, 35 Calderside pupils achieved passes in seven National 5 subjects, 11 of whom achieved seven A passes at this level.
The performance at Higher level has shown improvements in the number of pupils gaining one and three Higher passes. A special mention should go to the 16 pupils who achieved five Higher level passes in S5, five of whom achieved five A passes at this level.

The school's staff are delighted with the performance of the young people in S4, S5 and S6 and noted some excellent achievements.

The top achieving Higher pupils include: Michael Boyle, Lana Burch, Jodie Coffey, Marcel Fox, Ailey Gallacher, Bobbi Gorman, Rachel Jones, Aimee Mackin, Lia McLaughlin, Aimee Pearson, Nicole Samson, Katie Smith, Jenny O'Brien.
And those who performed particularly well at Nat 5 level include: Olivia Beebe, Morven Kane, Aidan Kelly, Katie Pattinson, Alasdair Scholes, Ashley Smith, Mia Tacey, Skye Wallace, Cameron Wood, Ben Young.
