Calder Valley General Election 2019 results in full

Voters of Calder Valley have been at the polls all day to elect their MP in the General Election 2019 - and now the waiting is over.

The constituency, which includes Hebden Bridge, Sowerby Bridge, Todmorden, Mytholmroyd, Brighouse, Rishworth, Rastrick, Elland, has a new Member of Parliament.

Before this year's election, the sitting MP was Conservative Craig Whittaker.

A count has been underway ever since polls closed across the UK at 10pm sharp on December 12.

The 2019 results are below:

New MP is Conservative Craig Whittaker.

Breakdown:

Conservative: Crag Whittaker - 29,981

Labour: Josh Fenton-Glynn - 24,207

Liberal Democrat: Javed Bashir - 2,884

Liberal Party: Richard Phillips - 721
