With the season starting off rough for them, the Jacksonville Jaguars have managed to claw their way to a .500 record halfway through the season and many players have contributed to that. A player who most would put near the top of the list is defensive lineman Calais Campbell, who is not only the top leader of the Jags’ locker room but is one of the best defensive linemen in the game as well as one of the most respected.
As the oldest player in the locker room at 33 years of age, he’s still playing at an elite level and is on pace to have a career-high Pro Football Focus grade, currently going strong with a 91.9. Of course, that means his efforts haven’t gone unnoticed by the database, who named him to their Midseason All-Pro Team.

It really doesn’t matter where Campbell lines up, he’s going to make plays. After lining up primarily on the edge last year, the veteran has kicked back inside to free up snaps for Josh Allen and hasn’t missed a beat. His 42 pressures lead all interior defensive linemen in the NFL.
It’s no shocker that Campbell made the cut as he remains a force of nature for the Jags’ defensive line despite his age. He’s done a lot of the dirty work for the team by commanding double teams and beating them successfully, which has led to another phenomenal season out of him.
The only player on the defensive side to make the team was Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald, who came away with a 92.2. Campbell was the only Jaguar to make the list, too, though receiver DJ Chark and kicker Josh Lambo earned honorable mentions for their respective positions.
