Caitlyn Jenner wants to be Kanye West's Vice President in 2020 US election bid

Caitlyn Jenner wants to be the next Vice President of the United States of America – and has begged Kanye West to be his running mate in the upcoming election.

The 70-year-old reality star has revealed she has asked 43-year-old rap star Kanye if she can be his running partner in his own planned bid for power.

Cait – who starred in Keeping Up With The Kardashians alongside Kanye’s wife, Kim, during her past marriage to Kris Jenner – made the confession when asked if she would vote for Kanye in the upcoming November 2020 Presidential election.

Ambushed by TMZ during an afternoon in the sunshine, Cait revealed her own desire for power in the White House and hinted she plans to run for Vice President.

Asked if she would vote for Kanye, she replied: “I texted him and said ‘Can I be your VP?’ What a combination!”

Pressed if she was serious about her own plans for power, Cait teased: “We’ll see!”

Caitlyn's announcement is a bizarre case of life imitating art after she already ‘ran for Vice President’ in the Comedy Central animated series South Park.

The star was lampooned in the show back in 2015 when she was depicted as the running mate of Mr Garrison, who ran for President against a satirical version of Hilary Clinton.

Kanye West caused a stir in the worlds of politics and entertainment earlier this month when he revealed he is planning to run for President later this year.

The rap star made the shock announcement on Twitter on Independence Day, writing: “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States!”

He has since won backing from a number of high profile stars including his wife, Kim Kardashian, billionaire businessman Elon Musk, and fellow rap star 2 Chainz.

Earlier this week, there was speculation Kanye would drop out of the election race after the first poll to include him in the running saw him win a pitiful 2% of the American vote.

However the star has appeared to have doubled down on his intention to run by filing paperwork to ensure he appears on the ballot papers in Oklahoma.
