
Egyptian Ambassador to the European Union Badr Abdel Ati held a series of meetings with a number of senior EU officials.
The Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that discussions focused on ways of boosting trade relations between Egypt and the EU by promoting the flow of Egyptian exports to EU markets, expanding training programs, building capabilities, and upping the competitive edge of Egyptian goods.
The talks also tackled the importance of fostering EU investments in Egypt by attracting EU companies to do business in the country.
Egypt has great potentials in different vital sectors, including agriculture, energy, and green transformation, added the statement.
Discussions also addressed the need to promote joint action to develop production of various Egyptian commodities as per EU quality criteria, the ministry said.
The Egyptian diplomat reviewed mechanisms for fostering cooperation between Egypt and the EU in the fields of education, youth, and sports.
The meeting highlighted the importance of Egyptian efforts to upgrade the education sector, with special focus on technical and vocational education.
Egypt's efforts to empower youth politically, economically, and socially were also probed, the ministry added.
