CAGE-A-RAMA: Festival dedicated to Nicolas Cage returns to Glasgow for third year

Whether you love him or hate him, there is no denying he is one of Hollywood's most watchable actors.

And there's a film festival dedicated to him arriving in Glasgow today (Friday, January 3) at the Centre of Contemporary Arts, Glasgow.

Europe's longest-running Nicolas Cage Film Festival returns to the city for the third year - with eleven new movies to show.

Matchbox Cineclub present Cage-a-rama, a three-day film festival celebrating the wild, weird world of Nicolas Cage.

The weekend festival kicks off tonight with Snake Eyes, the 1998 cult classic which features Cage as corrupt cop Rick Santoro.

The movie screening will be followed by a question and answers session with Marco Kyris, who was Cage's official stand-in for 20 films, 1994-2005.

Saturday and Sunday will see a further ten screenings, shining a spotlight on the Oscar-winner’s most iconic meltdowns, freakouts and outbursts.

From Peggy Sue Got Married to National Treasure, there's a Nicolas Cage moment out there for everyone.

Individual tickets are on a sliding scale £0-8, and passes are a snap at £40 for the weekend (including the opening Friday night, sponsored by Drygate) or £20 for a day pass.
