Caffeine lovers! There is a zero-waste coffee festival coming to Edinburgh next month

If you are somebody who can't function until they've had their caffeine hit in the morning, then we have a festival for you.

The Edinburgh Coffee Festival is returning for its fifth year next month at the Corn Exchange on 5 October, from 10am-6pm.

The festival will play host to over 40 speciality coffee and tea exhibitors, including Chocolate Tree, Edinburgh Tea and Coffee Company, Eteaket and more.

It is a coffee connoisseur's dream but promises to have something for everyone, allowing visitors to try some of the best brews, foods and cakes that Scotland has to offer.

You can also learn about the history behind the Guatemalan coffee industry and taste coffees from Rwanda, Ethiopia and the Caribbean.

You can even get hands on at one of the masterclasses on offer and learn from experts in interactive workshops, tastings and demonstrations.

Martin Dare, event manager, said: "The coffee scene, and Edinburgh Coffee Festival itself, is enjoying a really vibrant time.

“We attribute our success so far to our dedication to creating an environment which caters to the needs and wants of all coffee lovers no matter their level of enthusiasm. "

The event will be zero-waste, using Vegware disposables and glass reusable cups by SoLCups.

Revive-Eco will also be collecting all of the coffee grounds and extracting their high value oils for use in a variety of industries, from pharmaceuticals to cosmetics.
