Caffè Nero has announced it is partnering with Uber Eats to offer a delivery service for the first time in response to demand from customers for its coffee during the coronavirus crisis.
Customers will be able to order Caffè Nero's famous coffee, along with pastries, snacks and iced drinks to be delivered straight to their door from 40 outlets by the end of May.
The coffee chain closed all 800 of its UK stores on March 23 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but is slowly reopening branches.

There are currently 36 stores open for takeaway orders, and another four shops will be opening from tomorrow (May 22).
Caffè Nero has made 27 of these stores exclusively available for delivery via Uber Eats, while another 13 shops will be added to the list by the end of May.
Will Stratton-Morris, Caffè Nero UK CEO said: “Since we’ve opened some of our stores for takeaway, we’ve seen strong demand for our coffee.
“We want to be able to help those unable to visit one of our open stores enjoy our coffee without compromising the premium quality. I believe the partnership with Uber Eats allows us to do that and will continue to as we open more stores.”
The reopened Caffè Nero stores are offering a limited menu, which includes hot drinks and a number of food-to-go options like pastries.
The chain also has some measures in place to keep its staff and customers safe. These include only allowing up to six people in a store at any one time, only accepting cashless payments and floor markers to keep customers apart in queues.
Each of its stores are giving away free hot drinks to all NHS staff with ID throughout May.
