Cafe Rouge have come up with a brand new take on the traditional afternoon tea. The small French bistro are swapping out sweet and fluffy scones for a savoury delight instead - cheese!
This alternative afternoon tea is sure to get people excited, especially those who are avid cheese fans (aren't we all?). After all it is something completely different, and cake has been centre stage for long enough. It's time for some fromage for a change.
Diners will be treated to a cheese feast of three tiers and a selection of white, red and rose Comte Alexandre wine.
The three tiers are packed full of cheesy goodies. The bottom tier will feature some Croque Monsieur toasties with smoked ham or Croque Portobello Mushroom with baby spinach, goats cheese and a small drop of truffle oil.
The middle tier will present a French artisan cheese board with baby figs, grapes and water biscuits or baguette.
The top tier will feature some tasty baked Brittany Camembert with crudites and garlic flatbread. Mouth-watering!
You can enjoy all of this for just £30 for two people or £35 for two with a glass of wine each - a bargain!
