Café car park in Seaham cordoned off by police due to an 'incident'

A café car park in County Durham was cordoned off by police as officers deatl with an "incident".

Durham Constabulary said they were called to Seaham Hall Beach car park near Tonia’s café at around 10.20am this morning (December 4).

Officers said the car park was cordoned off and the force asked people to avoid the area.

The nature of the incident is not yet known but further updates are due to follow.

A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: "We are currently dealing with an incident at Tonia’s café car park, in Seaham.

"The car park is cordoned off and we would ask that people avoid the area.

"Updates will follow."
