Caernarfon's Grade II listed former NatWest bank site goes up for sale

A Grade II listed former bank site in the centre of Caernarfon has been put up for sale.

The building on Castle Square was built by the National Provincial Bank more than 100 years ago.

It remained a bank until the summer of 2017 when NatWest closed the branch - blaming a drop in customers using the site.

Charity group GISDA then took on the site.

But they are now offering it for sale through estate agent Dafydd Hardy.

The estate agent said: "This Grade II Listed former high street bank sits proudly in the centre of the historic town of Caernarfon overlooking the town square and the majestic castle.

"This stunning sandstone building is at the entrance to the main shopping area, close to several major high street retail units."

The property is set over five floors - including a large basement area that was formerly the bank vault.

GISDA has been asked to comment.
