Caelan Doris poised to make Leinster comeback against Ulster

Caelan Doris could make his Leinster comeback against Ulster at the RDS on Friday night (8.15pm).

Doris, who was stood down from Six Nations duty with Ireland with concussive symptoms, was due to return for the opening Rainbow Cup encounter with Munster three weeks ago.

However he suffered a minor calf issue on the eve of the match and had to withdraw.

The highly-rated back row is due to return to full training this week with Leinster ahead of the Ulster game.

Another player due to return for Leo Cullen's side after Saturday's demolition of Connacht is Jimmy O'Brien, who has returned to training after his hamstring injury.

Jamison Gibson-Park's return from a hamstring injury is being closely managed and he will be further assessed this week.

Jack Conan, who received a Lions call-up last week, failed a HIA in the Connacht game is will follow the graduated return to play protocols this week and is unlikely to be involved.

Ciarán Frawley, who injured his shoulder and his hamstring against Connacht, will be absent.

There is no new update from Leinster on Johnny Sexton, who remains stood down after his concussion issues.
