Caedrel and Ludwig win the $100,000 Twitch Rivals GeoGuessr duo tournament

Caedrel and Ludwig won Joe Bartolozzi’s GeoGuessr Duos on Twitch Rivals, taking first place in the creator tournament after dominating the 16-team field.

The event brought together 32 streamers across 16 duos, with teams allowed to communicate during gameplay while the chats stayed emote-only, not to help the streamers in any way.

Both streamers will also be able to visit the GeoGuessr World Championship 2026 in Berlin this September as VIP guests.

Caedrel and Ludwig were one of the most recognizable teams in the bracket from the start. The lineup also included Joe Bartolozzi and cochard, BotezLive and Gorgc, Cinna and JasonTheWeen, Jynxzi and ohnePixel, Lacy and stableronaldo, Pezzzy and ElasticDroid, PointCrow and Failboat, PrettyCoolFrankie and prettycooldevin, SmallFryz and sprake_, and several other duos.

Ludwig and Caedrel started with a shaky solo seeding round where they got a combined 5th place, but after that, there was no stopping them. They won their group without breaking a sweat and qualified for the single-elimination playoff as the first seed.

BotezLive and Gorgc, who were doing incredibly well and were the favorites to get into the final from the opposite bracket, lost their match and weren’t able to make it, in what was a clear demonstration of how costly every single mistake is in GeoGuessr.

The most entertaining match of the whole tournament was the semi-finals between Ludwig and Caedrel versus ohnePixel and Jynxzi. They were actually the only ones who managed to take a game against “LudRel,” in what was a “no movement indoors” round. Ludwig and Caedrel recovered quickly in the regular one, and they clutched the repeat of the “no movement” one to move into the finals.

Their opponents there were SmallFryz and sprake_, who only started training in GeoGuessr two weeks ago. They followed the meta quite well, in addition to making very good knowledge guesses, but ultimately, the combined experience of Ludwig and Caedrel wasn’t easy to overcome. Superstar streamers won the best-of-5 finals 3:0, but the scoreline doesn’t tell the story of how close the match really was.

This was Caedrel’s self-admitted first competitive finals victory, as his League of Legends career wasn’t as illustrious as he would have wanted, aside from the iconic Malzahar moment.
