Cadbury urgently recalls chocolates and warns shoppers not to eat them

Cadbury is urgently recalling Dairy Milk Little Robins because some packets contain nuts, which is not mentioned on the label.

It means packets of the sweet treats will be withdrawn from shelves.

A notice from Cadbury owner Mondelez UK was posted on the Food Standards website.

It reads: "Mondelez UK is recalling Cadbury Dairy Milk Little Robins because some packs contain almonds (nuts) which are not mentioned on the label. The product has been incorrectly packed with Cadbury Dairy Milk Little Robins Daim Chocolate.

(Cadbury)

"This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to nuts."

If you've bought the chocolates and have an allergy to nuts, do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store you bought them from for a refund.

The product details are:
Cadbury Dairy Milk Little Robins
Pack size: 93 g
Batch code: CIS3092812 and CIS3092822
Best-before date: 31 March 2020
