Cadbury slammed by shoppers over product announcement

British chocolate manufacturing giant Cadbury has come under fire with fans over its latest announcement.

The chocolatier has introduced three brand new Dairy Milk flavours - Fizzing Cherry, Banoffee Nut Crumble and No Frownie Brownie.

Chocoholics can snap them up from all major retailers for just £1.49 each, Cadbury has confirmed.

However, when Birmingham Live shared news of the new bars, not everyone was impressed.

As per usual, the Spira brigade was out in full force demanding the return of the iconic chocolate bar - because apparently, any other bar pales in comparison.

"Ewww no thanks," said one.

"None of these please," said a second.

"Cadbury chocolate is disgusting, not a fan anymore, Lindt chocolate is far better," said a third.

"Don’t like dairy milk chocolate," said a fourth.

Pippa Rodgers, Cadbury Tablets Brand Manager at Cadbury, said: “We know the Cadbury Inventor competition is a fan favourite because it allows for delicious new ingredients and flavours to be explored and tasted, and this year has really set the bar high.

"Together with Josh, Roxy and Sophie, we couldn’t be more excited to share the three delicious Cadbury Dairy Milk flavours with the nation - but sadly there can only be one winner.

"It is time for us to put it to our experts, the fans, to ‘Be The Judge’ and decide what bar is worthy of returning to supermarket shelves next year!”
