Cadbury says whether chocolate should be stored in the fridge or cupboard

Cadbury has revealed the correct way to store chocolate and its response might divide fans.

While it has long been debated where chocolate should be kept, Cadbury has finally had its say on the best place to keep one of its bars.

The chocolate giant is famed for its Dairy Milk bars as well as its Twirls and Wispa bars.

But Cadbury, a chocolate maker who is a regular fixture in any convenience store, supermarket or corner shop, has some advice for us, reports BirminghamLive.

It says, everyone should stop putting chocolate in the fridge.

Keep it housed in a cupboard, away from sunlight, for a smoother and meltier texture, the company advises.

Cadbury has used its Twitter account to confirm the news,, replying to one chocolate fan it said: "Chocolate should always be stored in a slightly cool, dry, dark place such as cupboard or pantry at temperatures less than 21°C to ensure the quality isn’t compromised."
