Cadbury says some people have been eating chocolate wrong for decades

Everyone with a sweet tooth is likely to have their own personal favourites when it comes to chocolate bars.

There are so many to choose from - especially lately, as brands like Cadbury and Mars have seriously upped their chocolate offerings ahead of Christmas.

Goodies like White Chocolate Oranges (no, you're not dreaming), Chocolate Orange Fingers and Orange Toblerones have all been hitting supermarket shelves.

But whether you opt for Dairy Milk, Kinder Bueno, Galaxy or Darkmilk, chances are you have your thoughts on how it should be stored and eaten.

For the majority of people, chocolate is best served straight out of the fridge, so it's nice and cold when you eat it, and has a nice bite.

Certain individuals even put it in the freezer to make sure its extra cold.

Others believe it should be kept away from the fridge - as that's not how it's stored on supermarket shelves.

Now Cadbury has given its verdict on how we should be eating chocolate, and it turns out a lot of us have been wrong for decades.

Posting on Twitter, Cadbury said: "Chocolate should always be stored in a slightly cool, dry, dark place such as cupboard or pantry at temperatures less than 21°C to ensure the quality isn’t compromised."

Each to their own, Cadbury.
