Cadbury's new £16 product has put hundreds of shoppers off buying Easter eggs

Britain's most iconic chocolate-maker Cadbury has created a brand new product for Easter, and shoppers are already in love with it.

Following the popularity of its chocolate cottage over the festive period, the chocalatier has released an Easter version of the treat.

A description on the Cadbury Gifts Direct website reads: "A deliciously fun gift to make your own Easter Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate cottage. A great novelty house shaped gift box which includes all the chocolate components to construct your chocolate cottage. Self assembly kit includes Dairy Milk Bars, Dairy Milk Sping Bar, Mini Eggs and Cadbury white buttons."

The kits, which cost £16 each, were shared on a popular Facebook group, and have already been a huge hit with shoppers.

"The Easter bunny needs to bring me this house to go with my festive house making.... the only problem is that I would be eating it as I'm making it," said one person, writing about the kit.

Another wrote: "My kids would soon demolish that."

"I'd eat it before I put it together," joked another chocaholic.

"Don't think this would end up a cottage, it will all be in my belly before building it," said somebody else.

Other shoppers seemed keen to get one of the Easter cottages instead of a traditional Easter Egg.

The Cadbury Easter cottages are not available in supermarkets, but are available to buy on the CadburyGiftsDirect website now.
