A new Cadbury's Creme Egg advert has been praised by fans for featuring a real-life gay couple kissing over the chocolate.
The new “Golden Goobilee” commercial, which marks Cadbury's 50th anniversary, shows two men share a steamy smooch while devouring the fondant-filled treat.
The TV advert looks back on all the different ways a Creme Egg can be eaten - including the lickers, bakers, dippers and sharers.
The real-life couple - Callum Sterling and Dale K Moran - share their chocolate by biting each end of the egg between their teeth.
Social media users were quick to defend and praise the advert after some criticized Cadbury's decision to use a gay couple.
One man tweeted: “I am not Homophobic but I just think the New Cadbury Egg advert to be shown on ITV is totally unnecessary. Showing two men passionately enjoying a Cream egg that Children love to eat will only confuse children at such a young age. Why??”
The advert soon went viral after fans defended it.
One wrote: “Kissing = Lovely, Chocolate = tasty, a positive loving image at a stressful time =awesome. More of this please.”
Another commented: "The latest Cadbury's Creme Egg advert features a same sex couple kissing with a creme egg.
"To anyone "offended" by this: you realise that we've seen straight couple make out thousands of times on television already and we don't complain. wonder why you are?"
A third tweeted: "Thank you for this from deep within my gay heart. Can't wait to watch the bigots melt down."
Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: "The only thing that upsets me about the creme egg ad, is that it implies you’re meant to share them."
The incredible new advert comes after Cadbury vowed to give away up to £5,000 in prizes to several lucky winners who find a special golden version of the Creme Egg.
Only 200 eggs have been hidden in stores, so fans will have to keep their eyes peeled in order to find one.
