Cadbury reveals we've been eating chocolate wrong for years

Cadbury has revealed we may have been storing its chocolate incorrectly for years.

The British brand is known for its scrumptious treats such as Dairy Milk, Wispas and Twirls.

But Cadbury has some advice for fans - and that's to stop storing chocolate in the fridge.

The chocolate maker has finally settled the long-lasting debate over whether bars should be stored in or out of the fridge.

If you're partial to refrigerating a Creme Egg, Crunchie or Curly Wurly - then stop.

Cadbury reckons it is best to store its products in a cool place out of sunlight - such as a cupboard - in order to get that smooth and silky texture.

Cadbury took to Twitter to confirm whether its fans should be keeping bars in a fridge or a cupboard.

It told one curious social media user: "Chocolate should always be stored in a slightly cool, dry, dark place such as cupboard or pantry at temperatures less than 21°C to ensure the quality isn’t compromised."

Cadbury's confirmation left many shocked, with many admitting they have been eating chocolate for wrong for years and years.

It's not too late to change, though.
