Cadbury is on the hunt for the next Willy Wonka to invent a new Dairy Milk bar

Have you ever seen a new bar of Cadbury chocolate hit shelves and thought, I could come up with something better than that?

If the answer was yes, then now's your chance to put your money where your mouth is.

Cadbury are on the hunt for the next Willy Wonka and have launched their Inventor Competition for the second year.

Hot off the heels of 2019's winning bar, the Dairy Milk CHOCA-LATTE, which hits stores this month, the company are giving shoppers the chance to create their own Cadbury Dairy Milk bar.

Those taking part can pick from a range of tasty and unusual ingredients to make their bar, including popping candy, spicy chili, rose, edible glitter and even Dijon mustard.

There are more than 90,000 different combinations available to choose from and once they've picked their ingredients, selected entrants will then be able to name their bar and explain what inspired their creation before submitting their entry.

Claudia Miceli, Senior Brand Manager at Cadbury, said: "We are thrilled to be re-launching the Cadbury Inventor Competition for a second year and seeing what other delicious creations our fans come up with.

"With so many ingredients to choose from, chocolate lovers across the country are sure to be spoilt for choice and we look forward to seeing the imagination of our fans shine through."

All entries will be put through a rigorous judging process with the finalists being selected based on two very important elements: taste and creativity.

Entries will be shortlisted once the competition closes at the end of September and given the chance to visit the Cadbury Chocolate Centre of Excellence in Bournville, the home of Cadbury, where they will work with chocolate experts to experiment with their ingredients and make their creations a reality.

The three shortlisted bars will be made available nationwide for chocolate fans to purchase in 2020 and vote for online.
