Cadbury is about to launch mint flavour Flakes - and Scotland will get it first

Everyone's favourite flaky chocolate just got a very exciting upgrade, as it now comes in a refreshing mint flavour.

The new mint version of Cadbury's famous flake has just been unveiled on social media - and it's good news for everyone in Scotland.

According to sources, the new mint flakes is currently only available in Scotland, although they are rumoured to be launching in the rest of the UK and elsewhere very soon, so there's no need to book a train up to Edinburgh just yet...

Judging from the packet, it seems as if the genius new version of the popular Flake bar combines the same delicate milk and plain chocolate texture we know and love, but combined with an invigorating mint taste.

Cadbury are yet to confirm the news themselves, with the new launch first announced on deals forum Hot UK Deals earlier today.

Many excited fans are comparing the latest launch with the mint version of Wispa, which launched back in 1995 only to be discontinued in 2003.

However the minty Flake has a lot to live up to, with the British brand's Snowflake variety from the early 2000's still a beloved nostalgic treat from the recent past, featuring a normal Flake bar but encased in smooth white chocolate.

The news follows the launch of a few other equally as intriguing new chocolate flavours, including a chocolate orange flavour Twirl, and Maltesers white chocolate truffles.

Move along summer, we're now ready to eat allllll the Christmas chocolate
