Cadbury has launched a Creme Egg flavoured beer in time for Easter

Confectionary giant Cadbury has just released a limited-edition Creme Egg flavoured beer.

That's right. Just in time for Easter, the chocolate maker has teamed up with Goose Island brewers to create a beer that tastes like the iconic Creme Egg.

Available from 11am today (March 3), the new Golden Goo-Beer-Lee Creme Stout is blended with malted barley, oats, wheat and milk sugar to mirror the creamy texture of a Creme Egg.

It is also brewed with cacao nibs and vanilla beans to mimic the tasty flavours of Cadbury's popular chocolate eggs.

The confectionary giant has launched the sweet booze to commemorate 50 years of the Creme Egg, but it won't be landing in supermarkets.

If you're eager to try the Golden Goo-Beer-Lee Creme Stout, packs of two 440ml cans will be sold online at Gooseislandshop.com. Those purchasing the beer will need to be aged 18 or older.

It will set you back £10 for a two-pack, meaning each can is £5.

Customers should be aware that there are only around 3,000 cans of the Creme Egg flavoured beer available to buy - so you'll need to act fast if you want to get your hands on some.

Raphael Capitani, Brand Manager, Cadbury Creme Egg, said: "We have always celebrated the unique and wonderful ways of enjoying a Cadbury Creme Egg and with this launch we are taking EATertainment to a whole new level.

"We can’t wait for people to try our very first beer and raise a glass to five delicious decades of Cadbury Creme Egg!"

Want to stock up on the original Creme Egg chocolate eggs? Tesco is selling a pack of 10 of the delicious treats for only £3.95 online at tesco.com.

Meanwhile, Marks and Spencer has unveiled its Easter 2021 range of hampers and gifts - and it's available online now.
