'Cadbury Creme Egg cafe' to open in London

Those with a sweet-tooth in the capital are set for a treat following reports a pop-up Cadbury Creme Egg café will be opening its doors in London.

The venue is due to open on 22 January on Greek Street in Soho, according to The Evening Standard.

It remains unclear how long the niche eatery will be open for and what exactly it will feature, however further information about the café will be available next week, according to reports.

The forthcoming Creme Egg café will join a list of quirky venues that have arrived in London in recent years, including a cat café, where diners are able to eat with a collection of felines, and a pay-as-you-go café, which charges people by the minute rather than by the cup.

A pop-up owl café in Soho received a huge backlash from outraged campaigners last year, who voiced fears over the birds' welfare.

In September a mob of masked demonstrators attacked a “hipster” cereal café in east London, throwing paint at its windows and daubing “scum” on the walls in an anti-gentrification protest.
