Cadbury confirms it will relaunch cult classic chocolate bar

From white chocolate Dream bars, to Mars Delight and Milkybar Choos, there are many beloved products we've lost over the years.

We've been left devastated multiple times over the years as our favourite chocolate bars have been discontinued.

But now Cadbury has announced that it will be bringing back an old favourite,  reports Birmingham Live  .

After fans petitioned for its return on Facebook, Cadbury confirmed that Bournville Old Jamaica will return to shelves this year.

The iconic dark chocolate Rum & Raisin bar was originally launched in 1970 and has made several appearances as a limited edition since then, to the delight of consumers across the UK.

It was relaunched as part of the CDM ‘Classics’ range in 1987 and again as part of the ‘World of Chocolate’ range in the mid-1990s.

It was most recently on shelves 10 years ago, for one year, as part of the Bournville range.

Speaking about the re-release, Bethany Wenn, Bournville Brand Manager at Mondelēz International, said: "We’re really excited to bring back the return of Bournville Old Jamaica bar. The relaunch highlights the increasing consumer demand to bring back retro flavours."

Bournville Old Jamaica will be available in 180g and 100g tablets.
