Cadbury chocolates recalled over concerns they may contain undeclared nuts

Bags of chocolate are being recalled because they have been accidentally filled with a product that contains nuts.

Nut allergy sufferers are being advised not to eat Cadbury Dairy Milk Little Robins, because some packs contain almonds, which are not mentioned on the label.

The product has been incorrectly packed with Cadbury Dairy Milk Little Robins Daim Chocolate.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to nuts.

The recall applies to 93g bags with a best before date of 31 March 2020.

The manufacturer has warned that the mistake might not be immediately obvious because both products are wrapped in similar foil.

Any customer who has bought the product and has a nut allergy is advised not to eat it, and to return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund, or to contact the Mondelez consumer care line on 0800 818181.

No other Cadbury products are affected.
