Cadbury has faced criticism from parents who claim their children's advent calenders were empty.
Parents have said on social media that their children have been left very upset after opening their first doors on the advent calender to find them with no chocolate.
The products affected are as follows: Cadbury Dairy Milk Advent Calendar, the Cadbury Heroes Advent Calendar and Cadbury Dairy Milk Santa’s Workshop Advent Calendar, reports ManchesterEveningNews.
Posting on Twitter, one disgruntled dad revealed how the empty calendar had forced his son to tears.
Under a photo of the chocolate-less door, he said: "My lad opened his advent Calendar and there’s no chocolate. Opened the back and it's empty. Cheers sons crying. Nice one."
Another woman claimed the empty calendar had left her five-year old upset.
She said: " @CadburyUK#cadburys#AdventCalendar one upset five year old this morning when his advent calendar is totally empty. @CadburyWorld ."
Another woman posted a video of her empty advent calendar, writing: "When your little boy opens his @CadburyUK advent calendar and it’s EMPTY."
A spokesperson for Cadbury told Manchester Evening News: "We’re sorry to hear about the issues some of our fans are facing with chocolate missing from inside the Cadbury Dairy Milk Advent Calendar, the Cadbury Heroes Advent Calendar and Cadbury Dairy Milk Santa’s Workshop Advent Calendar, and would like to reassure people that quality is of paramount importance to us.
"We encourage any customers who have received an advent calendar that is not up to standard to speak to our customer care team as soon as possible."
