Cabaret night with music, drag and free ice cream coming to Liverpool

A huge cabaret event is coming to Leaf on Bold Street this month.

The popular city centre spot will play host to a night of music, drag and poetry, with free vegan ice cream on offer as part of the Big Green Cabaret event.

Leaf is well known for its extensive lineup of teas and juices, its eclectic food menu and more.

It began as a small tea shop run by friends back in 2007, before developing and expanding into multiple bohemian venues across Liverpool.

Leaf is often home to indie markets, gigs, charity events and more, with the Big Green Cabaret night expected to be another exciting event in its varied calendar.

Ice cream icons Ben & Jerry's are teaming up with climate action charity Possible for the cabaret night. Ben & Jerry's is working towards creating the "best ice cream" in the most sustainable way possible, with free vegan ice cream on offer at the event.

Hosted by creator, activist and change maker Kayza Rose, the evening promises a packed, climate justice inspired show designed to energise and entertain.

The over 18s only event will feature a range of artists and experts taking to the stage with a focus on climate action for seasoned activists to novices and newbies alike. Performers are due to be announced imminently and all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Possible.

The Big Green Cabaret events will take place in Liverpool, Cardiff and Glasgow and are part of the Great Big Green Week - a national week of events celebrating action on climate change.

Taking place on Wednesday, September 22 from 7.30pm at Leaf on Bold Street, tickets for the Big Green Cabaret cost £5 and can be purchased here.
