CAB seizes cash, cars and more after search operation led officers to premises in Dublin and Meath

The Criminal Assets Bureau seized cash, cars, watches, designer bags, and more this evening following a search operation in Dublin and Meath.

CAB officers along with members of the Garda National Immigration Bureau, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, and the Customs Revenue Dog Unit conducted a search operation in Counties Dublin and Meath.

The hunt took place on the morning of Friday, November 26, 2021, with a total of 72 CAB and Garda personnel involved in the searches.

A total of 24 searches were conducted including 11 residential properties, 1 office and 1 business premises and 11 professional premises.

The following was seized:

  • €35,000 cash
  • A 162 Hyundai Tucson
  • 3 x High-value Watches (Rolex and Chopard)
  • Quantity of Designer Handbags
  • Electronic storage devices
  • Documentation in relation to Financial and Property transactions

In addition to the seizure of the these assets, more than €310,000 was restrained in financial accounts.

The CAB investigation is focussed on the assets of an international Organised Criminal Group (OCG) involved in the cultivation, sale and supply of controlled drugs through a network of Cannabis Grow Houses, and the subsequent laundering of the proceeds of their criminal conduct.
