CAB seize Rolex watch, tobacco and €187k in cash after storming 13 sites across Dublin and Meath

The Criminal Assets Bureau conducted a number of searches across two counties on Monday, during which officers seized cash, watches, documents, devices and tobacco.

The operation was conducted on March 13 by Bureau Officers who were supported by numerous task forces.

These included the Garda Emergency Response Unit, Garda Mounted Unit, Garda Dog Unit, Garda Stolen Motor Vehicle Investigation Unit (SMVIU), Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (GNBCI) and Garda personnel from the Dublin Region.

Officers stormed 13 separate sites searched as part of the operation across Meath and Dublin, during which the following items were seized:

  • €187,000 cash
  • A Rolex watch
  • A Hublot watch
  • A large quantity of unstamped tobacco with an estimated value of €500,000
  • Documentation and electronic devices

These searches were conducted as part of an ongoing operation that targets assets, including properties deriving in whole or part from the proceeds of criminal activity.

Investigations are ongoing.
