C.J. Anderson says he hasn’t gotten an offer from any NFL teams

C.J. Anderson provided a spark for the Los Angeles Rams last season when he signed just before their Week 16 game. He filled in admirably for Todd Gurley while he dealt with a knee injury, rushing for 100-plus yards in three straight games.

He was a big reason the Rams reached the Super Bowl, but after a brief five-game run, Anderson is a free agent. He’s available to sign with any team, but interest has been minimal up to this point.

Anderson shared on Twitter that he hasn’t gotten an offer from the Rams yet.

He was asked which teams have extended an offer his way. Anderson replied by saying no one has, which is somewhat surprising.

Anderson, 28, showed last season that he can still be an effective player in the NFL. It helps to have an outstanding offensive line like the Rams’, but he was still able to find small creases when gaping holes weren’t there.

With Gurley reportedly having arthritis in his knee, the Rams could use a capable backup like Anderson. Whether he’d be willing to return as their RB2 remains to be seen, but that bridge will be crossed if/when the Rams make him an offer.
