C.J. Anderson excited to face Broncos in 2019 after signing with Lions

The Detriot Lions are signing former Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson to a one-year contract. Anderson has also spent with the Carolina Panthers, Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Rams.

After the league announced on social media that Anderson had landed in Detriot, the running back took to Instagram with excitement about facing two of his former teams in 2019.

“Just blessed to have another opportunity,” Anderson wrote. “Plus we get Denver and Oakland on the road should be a fun year. Let’s have fun 💯”

The league has not yet announced the Broncos’ 2019 schedule but we do know the team’s opponents. Denver will host the Lions this fall.

Anderson, 28, signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of California following the 2013 NFL draft. He was the team’s main running back from 2014-2017 and a key part of the team’s win in Super Bowl 50.

Anderson has rushed for 3,454 yards in his career (averaging 4.5 yards per carry) and he has scored 27 total touchdowns.
