Twitch streamer Byron 'Reckful' Bernstein has died aged 31, according to reports.
The news was confirmed by an ex-girlfriend, with the suspected cause of death being suicide.
Reckful was a hugely popular Twitch streamer and one of the top players in the World of Warcraft community.
His successful Twitch channel drew in tens of thousands of viewers at a time. He was also one of the first to ever make it big on Twitch.
Just three hours before his death was reported, he tweeted: "Ahh. I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with my insanity".
The death has rocked the gaming community, with many people on Twitter reacting to it by sharing a suicide prevention helpline.
He also wrote on Twitter: “Please just know in these situations the insane person does not feel in control of their actions.”
Esports consultation Rod Bleslau said on Twitter that Reckful's death had been confirmed by his roommate.
