Julia Gillard, Joan London, Helen Garner, Kate Grenville and Jackie French are some of the 140 writers, journalists, politicians and thinkers who will attend Australia’s largest regional literary festival in Byron Bay.
In an Australian exclusive, the festival will present Nigerian writer Chigozie Obioma, and Mexican-based Jennifer Clement whose novel Prayers for the Stolen was shortlisted for the 2015 PEN Faulkner Award for Fiction. Guardian Australia’s own much-loved cartoonist First Dog on the Moon will also lead a show.
