Another K-pop kid hits Bangkok

Yoon Ji-sung is the third former member of Wanna One to visit Thailand this March. The former leader of the K-pop sensation has been celebrated for his leadership skill as well as his caring and warm personality. During his time with Wanna One, the 28-year-old singer didn’t have much chance to show his singing talent, but he impressed audiences in the musical The Days which proved that he can sing and act. After the musical, he released a six-track album Aside and toured Asia.

On March 23, Ji-sung met his Thai fans at Central Ladprao for his solo event — Yoon Ji-sung 1st Fan Meeting: Aside in Bangkok.  The singer greeted his fans with the sweet track “Who Are You?” During the two-hour show, Ji-sung sang all six tracks from Aside and his best performance which blew the audience away was the emotional ballad “In the Rain.”

Ji-sung's solo show was entertaining. Apart from singing, he challenged himself to answer 38 questions in three minutes which he failed in some countries, but in Thailand, he could make it through. The answers revealed that he enjoyed eating Pad Thai. He even had the dish when he was at Itaewon Street in Seoul. His favourite drink in Thailand was frozen watermelon. He ordered the drink three or four times a day.

While his singing was impressive, his cooking was not. Making sandwiches, a watermelon drink and sticky rice and mango seemed easy, but Ji-sung had some problems. It was hilarious when he made a funny face after tasting his watermelon drink because it was too sweet.

One of the most entertaining parts was when Ji-sung did whatever his fans requested. The singer picked fans’ requests from a board and made them come true. He performed a Thai dance, showed sexy moves for Wanna One’s “Light” and “Day by Day,” and spoke some Thai phrases that made the fans swoon including "Babe, I love You" and "Babe, please wake up".

He ended with the romantic song “Like the Wind” and, although the singer will have to do military service this year, he promised to visit Thailand after that. His fans promised to wait for him.
