With meeting rooms named after biscuits (“Can you set up the projector in the jammie dodger for 3?”) and dancing lessons from 90s pop act Five, BuzzFeed UK staff are understandably delighted with their new office just off Oxford Street, London.

Unfortunately there’s one fly in the ointment – regular electric shocks from the lifts.

You may laugh at this minor drawback, but Monkey has some sympathy. The Guardian’s offices in Kings Place are notorious for delivering electric shocks from doors, lifts, light switches and even taps.
The Buzzfeed “buzz” is compounded by cleverly designed doors that are so clever that staff think they should pull them when in fact they need to push them.
One BuzzFeeder did however offer a potential explanation for the defects.
