Buyout news: Lakers chasing Andre Drummond, LaMarcus Aldridge

The Los Angeles Lakers ultimately had a quiet trade deadline day on Thursday, opting not to make any major deals. However, they are still not done trying to add players to their team as they are in the middle of their most difficult stretch of play in two seasons.

As the Lakers try to tread water without LeBron James and Anthony Davis for at least the next couple of weeks, the Lake Show is in the mix for two of the best available free agents on the buyout market: LaMarcus Aldridge and Andre Drummond. During Thursday night’s edition of Inside The NBA, NBA insider Chris Haynes reported that the Lakers would have a teleconference with Aldridge and were also in the mix for Drummond.

Drummond, 27, it appears, has more suitors than Aldridge.

The Lakers get another chance to break their current 4-game win-streak on Friday night when they welcome the 17-27 Cleveland Cavaliers to Staples Center.
