Butler leads Bulls to win over Wizards

CHICAGO_Jimmy Butler scored 37 points and added nine assists and eight rebounds to lead the Chicago Bulls over the Washington Wizards 106-95 on Saturday night at the United Center.

Butler went 11-for-23 from the field and 14-for-14 at the free-throw line as the Bulls won their second consecutive game to improve to 6-4 on the season. Nikola Mirotic had 17 points and Dwyane Wade added 14 for the Bulls.

Markieff Morris led the Wizards with 24.

Bulls forward Doug McDermott left the game early in the fourth quarter after landing face-first on the court following a foul by Morris. McDermott underwent the NBA's concussion protocol and did not return.

"I think we're good. I think we can be so much better in a lot of categories but we're getting used to each other still. It's still young in the season. I like the direction that we're moving. We're winning games. We're in close games. We've lost some, but if we continue to study film, practice hard, continue to play together, I think we'll win more than we'll lose," Butler said
