Busy town centre pub goes up for sale

An eye-catching pub has been put up for sale in a busy town centre.

The Phoenix pub in Southport has been placed on the market despite it still being open, with the busy and bustling bar being a staple venue in the north Merseyside town. Now, it is up for grabs, and can even be rented for those who can't quite afford to buy or if they want to test the waters in the industry.

The pub sits on Coronation Walk in the town centre, with many people walking past every day. The bar and restaurant could be someone's pride and joy or even a project, with the pub up for £350,000 or available to rent for £30,000 a year.

The pub spans the ground floor and basement where there is a large cellar. The ground floor covers an astounding 4,314 sq ft and also comes part furnished.

The rent option is free-of-tie, meaning the new tenant will be able to buy beer from wherever they want without an obligation to a brewery.

The minimum capital required to rent the property is believed to be around £25,000. The property is listed on Fleurets, with the advert saying: "The Phoenix is a contemporary furnished, ground floor, high street bar and restaurant.
