Busy south Dublin village cut down to one-way traffic today

A busy south Dublin village centre will be cut down to just one-way traffic from today for three months.

Drivers will only be able to drive through Templeogue Village going west from this morning until April 4.

ESB works along the road have necessitated the change.

South Dublin County Council reminded residents over the weekend to take note of the big temporary changes.

"As of Monday, January 10, until April 4, a traffic diversion will be in-place for Eastbound Traffic at Templeogue Village, via Cypress Grove Road and Templeville Road," they said.

"The main street through Templeogue Village will be open as a one way system in the westbound direction.

"This will be to facilitate the laying of ESB High Voltage Cable Ducting in the Carriageway."
